LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Centre women's cross country team returned to action against one of the most stacked fields on the 2025 schedule as they raced in the Louisville Classic. The Colonels finished in ninth place overall in the 46-team field representing all divisions.
The Colonels posted a combined team score of 401 points to finish ninth overall, but fifth among Division III teams in the field. Centre finished 20 points back of DePauw and 21 points ahead of Washington & Jefferson.
Individually, the fastest time of the day for Centre belonged to
Gracie West, who clocked in at 22:33.7 for her fastest 6k time since the 2023 Great Lakes Regional Championships, finishing 27th overall. West was immediately followed four seconds later by
Sophie Bouldin, who finished 28th at 22:37.7.
Senior
Cara Taylor posted a time of 23:10.5 to finish just outside the individual top 50 in 58th place.
Claire Barnett finished with a time of 24:11.9, followed by
Emma Musgrave in 24:26.7 to cap off Centre's counted times for the race.

Centre will race once again on Oct. 18 as they head to Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble.
