SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Centre women's track & field traveled to Wittenberg as they brought a partial squad to the Steemer Showcase against a talented field of teams from all divisions, mostly Ohio-based. The Colonels finished third out of 19 teams with 30 points.

Madjo Doumbia took second place for the Colonels in the 60m as she posted a time of 7.68, 0.02 seconds shy of the school record she set earlier this season. Doumbia also just barely missed out on eclipsing her school record in the 200m, finishing in 24.82 to take third place. The women's 400m saw Ainsley Wilson take seventh place with a time of 1:00.60.

In the 60m hurdles, Lyla Bordwine finished eighth overall with a time of 10.15.

The Colonels picked up a win in the long jump as All-American Chloe Hein got the victory with a mark of 18-0.5. In the triple jump, All-Ameican high jumper Serena McNeilly took first place with a mark of 38-8.25. Marie De Amour Manirakiza finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 33-5.25. In the high jump, McNeilly finished a quarter of an inch shy of matching her current school record, finishing second overall after clearing 5-6.
