CONWAY, Ark.- On Friday evening, Centre women's basketball traveled to Arkansas to face Hendrix for the second time this season. Taking the lead early, Centre completed yet another series sweep after downing the Warriors 77-68.

Bailey Rucker and
Arin Nipped opened the game with a pair of jumpers to hand Centre a lead that they would hold for the remainder of the contest.
Lindsay Jessie and Rucker carried the Colonels for much of the opening frame but with two minutes to go, the Warriors managed to cut the deficit to one point.
Emma Perna and Rucker answered in a big way, draining back-to-back threes to stretch the hold back to seven.
- The two teams swapped buckets in the early minutes of the second. Nearing the media break,
Anna Thomas knocked one in from long range to kick-start a scoring run that gave Centre their first double digit lead.
Ryleigh Campbell,
Lilly Reid, and Jessie continued the push, mostly at the line, but by halftime, the Warriors cut the deficit back to nine (44-35).
- Hendrix outscored Centre 5-2 in the initial minutes of the second half but a jumper from Jessie and successive three from Nipp returned the gap to double figures. Entering the final quarter, Centre led 57-45.
- Centre held onto a 16-point lead for much of the frame as Rucker and Jessie opened with six quick points. With three minutes to go in regulation, Hendrix had successfully cut Centre's lead to seven, forcing the Colonels to burn a timeout. With just 30 seconds left,
Ka'Niah Edelen secured the victory with four made free-throws, halting the score at Centre 77, Hendrix 68.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Rucker led the game with a career high of 29 points. Jessie followed with a career high of her own, 18 points.
- Reid led the Colonels in rebounds with six.
- Edelen and Reid tied for the game's leader in assists with six each.
- The Gold & White favored 16-12 in points from turnovers, 32-23 in bench points, and 6-3 in fast-break points.
