DANVILLE, Ky.- Centre women's basketball hosted the number three seeded Berry for their 2025 Senior Day celebration game. Outscoring the Vikings 19-5 in the final frame, the Colonels completed the comeback to win by a score of 50-45.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams got off to a slow start, the game remaining scoreless for the initial three minutes. The Vikings eventually broke the silence, striking hot with a 7-0 tare that forced Centre to burn a timeout. Out of the breather,
Bailey Rucker put Centre on the board with a one man, 6-2 run.
Katelyn Stiltner closed the Colonels' scoring, and with the Vikings adding four more points, the board read Berry 13, Centre 8.

Ka'Niah Edelen opened the second frame with a 5-0 run that tied the game. From there, the Vikings found their success from the floor while Centre found most of theirs at the line. Outscoring the Colonels 17-11, Berry entered halftime with the first double digit lead of the game, 11 points.
- The third quarter was the closest yet. Berry favored in the early minutes after a 5-2 run but the Colonels initiated a full court press that successfully slowed the Vikings. Midway through, the momentum began to swing the Colonels' way as
Anna Thomas and Rucker drained successive threes. A final jumper and connected free throw from Rucker set the Colonels within single digits entering the fourth quarter.
- Centre dominated the final frame, outscoring Berry 19-5. Reid fronted a run that gave the Colonels the lead, netting a three then adding a pair of her signature hook shots with connected free-throws. Rucker, Reid, and Stiltner finished the push, closing the game with a 6-3 run that set the final score at Centre 50, Berry 45.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Reid and Rucker led the Colonels offensively. Rucker netted a court high of 16 points while Reid followed with 13.
- Rucker led the game off the glass, claiming a double-double with ten rebounds.
- Centre favored in fast break points with ten compared to Berry's seven.
