ATLANTA- On Monday afternoon, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released its final recipients of the weekly awards for the 2025 season. After leading the Colonels in two defensive statistics, Centre's Mac Shafer was deemed the SAA Defensive Player of the Week. 

Shafer started in the Colonels' win over SAA Sewanee. The junior led Centre's defense in both ground balls and caused turnovers, causing two turnovers and scooped five ground balls.
