Danville, KY - it was a great night for men's lacrosse as they top off Senior Night with a perfect ending, winning over Oglethrope 21-2
Colonels came out with a strong dominating force on offense as Senior
Ryan Black opened scoring and later added another one, while Senior
Travis Maufer led the attack with three goals and two assists, Senior
Ben Hubbs joined the scoring train finding the net off an assist from Black.
Oglethorpe had a feature of turnovers that halted their ability to create any offense pressure. Additional goals from
Sims Anderson and Senior
Miguel Sayers as Centre consistently capitalized on its possessions. Strong face-off play allowed Centre to control the tempo of the first period.
Despite several saves from goalie Ian Wood and a timeout midway through the period, Oglethorpe was unable to slow the momentum as the Colonels closed the quarter firmly in control in 10 - 0 lead.

Charles Thomas found the net off an assist from Senior
Bryant Brown, followed by another goal from
Aaron Price, assisted by Senior
Jack Cunningham, to keep momentum firmly on their side.
Despite a brief stretch of more balanced play that included several saves from Oglethorpe goalie Ian Wood and a few offensive chances for both teams, Centre maintained pressure throughout. Senior
Jack Cunningham later added another goal, finishing a feed from
Miller Mouser to cap the scoring in the period.
While Oglethorpe showed improvement with better clears and a handful of shots on goal, they were unable to generate sustained offense, and Centre's consistent possession and depth on attack allowed them to steadily build their advantage heading into halftime.
Charles Thomas opened the scoring in the period off an assist from
Andrew Dittmore, followed by
Aaron Price, who added another goal with help from Senior
Jack Cunningham. Centre kept the pressure on as Senior
Bryant Brown found the net, assisted again by Dittmore, showcasing the team's balanced attack.
Andrew Dittmore later scored twice himself, both coming off feeds from Senior
Travis Maufer, to cap a productive period for the Centre offense.
Despite a goalie change to Wyatt Deassure, Oglethorpe continued to struggle with turnovers and clearing the ball, limiting their offensive opportunities. While they managed a few shots, including an attempt from Peyton Knowles, they were unable to convert.
Centre controlled possession throughout, consistently winning faceoffs and capitalizing on scoring chances to pull further away heading into the final period.
Colonels closed out the game with continued control in the fourth period, defeating Oglethorpe 21–2. After a relatively quiet start to the quarter, Oglethorpe managed to find the net as Liam Miller scored to make it 18–2. However, the response was immediate, as
Grayson Shumate won the ensuing faceoff and scored just seconds later to restore Centre's momentum.
Centre added to its lead with goals from
Sims Anderson, assisted by
Andrew Dittmore, and
Nolan Kelly, continuing their balanced offensive attack. Despite a few saves from Wyatt Deassure and some improved defensive moments, Oglethorpe struggled to maintain possession and generate consistent scoring chances.
Centre controlled the pace throughout the final period, capitalizing on opportunities and limiting mistakes, as the Colonels had 13 different scorers to secure a dominant 21-2 victory on senior night.
The Colonels will be on the road next week as they travel to Berry, for their last travel game of the season.
