GENEVA, Ohio - Day 2 at the NCAA Championships was a notable one for the Centre women's track & field team, highlighted by
Serena McNeilly earning yet another All-American podium finish in the high jump.
The Friday session for the Centre women began with the high jump and McNeilly had another very strong performance. The sophomore cleared 5-6 (1.68m) to tie for third place, giving her four All-America nods this season between indoor and outdoor track, three on the first team for finishes inside the top eight.
The other event on Friday that featured the Colonels was the women's 100m prelims and senior
Madjo Doumbia ran another excellent race, winning her heat and finishing second overall with a qualifying time of 11.65, advancing to Saturday's final round. In the same race,
Chloe Hein, who earlier finished fourth in the long jump for another All-America finish, posted a time of 12.24 to finish 22nd overall.
On Saturday, McNeilly will be competing in the triple jump while Doumbia will be racing in the finals of both the 100m and 200m.
