GREENWOOD, Ind. - College Sports Communicators released its Academic All-District teams for the 2024-25 track & field and cross country teams, and Centre was well represented, with four men and five women making this year's list.
To qualify for Academic All-District, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. For track & field, a student-athlete must rank in the top 50 in their region in at least one event. In cross country, the requirement is a top-50 finish at the regional finals. First-year student-athletes are ineligible for Academic All-District.
On the men's side, the four Centre representatives on the Academic All-District were high jumper
Michael Smith, sprinter
Blake Busson and distance runners
Noah George and
Carter Russell. The Centre women had five honorees with jumper/heptathlete
Serena McNeilly, sprinters
Janea Bottinelli and
Amari Robinson and distance runners
Erin Haugh and
Sophie Bouldin.
Voting for Academic All-America will take place through July 1 and those winners will be announced on July 15-16.
