NEW ORLEANS - Three weeks after the initial poll of the season, the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its latest regional rankings for cross country and Centre's men's and women's teams remain in the top ten in the Great Lakes Region.

On the men's side, the Colonels are ranked tenth in the region. Centre was idle last week, but is coming off consecutive wins in the BC/CC Jamboree and the Grizzly Invitational. Senior Reeve VanDemark was named Southern Athletic Association Men's Runner of the Week after a new personal best 5k time at the Grizzly Invitational.

The Centre women held firm at ninth in the region after a pair of second place finishes in the first two meets of the season. Centre finished just four points shy of reigning regional champion DePauw at the Grizzly Invitational. Senior Gracie West earned an SAA Women's Runner of the Week honor after an excellent race at the BC/CC Jamboree in the season opener.

Centre cross country will return to action on Sept. 20 with the NCAA Pre-National Meet in Spartanburg, S.C.
