Danville, KY - Justin Toth has won the Southern Athletic Association Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by conference officials on Monday.
In the 24th Colonel Classic over the weekend, Toth dominated the dive competition on both boards. On Friday night, he cruised to a win in the 1-meter competition with a final score of 359.65 points. He won by a margin of 82.60 points, making him the only diver to cross the 300-point threshold.
On Saturday, the men's competition moved up to the 3-meter board but made no difference for Toth. The senior claimed the top spot again with a total score of 339.20 points, a margin of victory of 31.40 points over the field.
Toth and the Colonels will look to continue the momentum and the build towards the postseason this Friday on Senior Night as the Colonels host a tri-meet against Transylvania and the University of the Cumberlands. The competition starts at 6:30pm.
