LEXINGTON, Ky. - The latest edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll was released late Tuesday afternoon and Centre once again moved up in the rankings, improving to no. 5 nationally and receiving three first place votes.

It is the first time the Colonels have ever received first place votes in the AVCA poll as the Colonels are coming off of a pair of sweeps in conference play over the weekend, defeating both Rhodes and Millsaps in straight sets in pod play in Atlanta. Centre has won its last five matches and has also won 14 consecutive sets.

The no. 5 Colonels will face Hanover on Wednesday night before battling three SAA opponents in pod play in Danville this weekend.
