ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for volleyball earlier this afternoon and Centre freshman libero Campbell Miles has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for games played through Oct. 18.

Miles continued her strong defensive play for no. 5 Centre as the Colonels improved to 19-1 this week. Across four matches and 15 sets, the freshman libero combined for 70 digs, averaging nearly five digs per set.

She had 23 digs in an emotional win over Trinity on Oct. 16, two shy of a career high and the fifth time this season that Miles has recorded 20 or more digs in a match, helping lift Centre to the top of the NPI rankings as of Oct. 19.

Centre volleyball will be back in action on Oct. 24 with a doubleheader against Oglethorpe and Sewanee.
