MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Centre Men's Soccer traveled to Memphis on Friday night to take on Rhodes. The tough season continued as Rhodes exploded for four second-half goals in a 6-0 win.
Rhodes needed less than 7 minutes to grab control with its first goal of the game.
Declan Miller stopped shots in the 19th and 25th minutes to keep the Lynx lead at a single goal. He made another stop in the 41st minute, but the pressure kept coming as Rhodes was able to double its lead in the 43rd minute and take a 2-0 lead to the break.
The switch to
Luke Majors in the Centre goal did little to stem the tide in the game. Rhodes scored in the 50th and 55th minutes to essentially salt the game away. The Lynx would later add goals in the 63rd and 72nd minutes to further leave no doubt on the result.
Centre was outshot 22-3 in total, including 12-0 on goal.
Declan Miller played the first half in goal, stopping 3 shots.
Luke Majors played the second half, also stopping 3 Lynx shots.
The Colonels were eliminated from SAA Tournament contention going into the weekend. Sunday's fixture at Millsaps will mark the end of the 2026 season. Centre will look to go out on a positive note starting at 2:30pm.
