LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Fresh off a win in their last meet, the Centre men's cross country team headed up the road to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic against a field of teams from all divisions. The Colonels finished ninth overall, but third among Division III teams in the field.
The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 237 points to land in ninth place, besting every Division III team in the race except Trine and North Central. The Colonels also scored some victories over Division I opponents in the race.
Individually,
Houston Brooks led the way for Centre for the third consecutive race, pacing the Colonels on the 8k track with a time of 25:31.6, good for 12th place overall.
The next runner to cross the finish line for the Colonels was
Max Germann, who had a strong close to his race and made up nearly 30 spots in the standings with a time of 26:19.4 to finish 41st.
Quinn Gulden landed just outside the individual top 50 with a time of 26:32.3.
Grayson Miller clocked in with a time of 26:40.1, with
Henry Downs finishing right behind him at 26:40.2 to finish off Centre's scored times for today's race.
