Danville, KY - After winning 4 of its final 5 regular season games, Centre Men's Basketball vaulted to the number 3-seed for the 2026 SAA Men's Basketball Championship.
The Colonels will get an immediate rematch with 6-seed Sewanee in a Thursday quarterfinal. Centre fell to Sewanee, 91-89, in Saturday's regular season finale at Alumni Gym.
Drake Ingram went nuclear, scoring 40 points on just 23 shot attempts in defeat.
Nolan Wahl finished a rebound shy of his sixth SAA double-double of the season.
Sewanee also won the first regular season matchup over Centre, 72-66, back on January 3rd. The Colonels fell behind by 9 at halftime and could not rally as they made just 4 out of 29 3-pointers on the day.
Ryan Shene was the high-point man with 14 points in the defeat.
Tip time for the game is set for 7:00pm on Thursday at Berry College in Mount Berry, GA. The winner will take on 2-seed Trinity on Friday at 7:00pm.
