BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Centre junior All-American
Cree Ross made the most of his final attempt in the men's triple jump as he earned All-America First Team honors with a fourth place finish.
Ross was sitting outside the individual top ten through his first two jumps, but then he posted a mark of 48-0.5 (14.64m) on his third jump to advance to the top half of the field and keep his meet going.
That mark remained his best of the day until his sixth and final jump, when he made his best jump of the day with a mark of 48-10.75 (14.90m) to slide into fourth place.
By finishing in the individual top eight, Ross picked up automatic All-America First Team honors and is now a six-time All-American in his time at Centre, five times with track & field and once with football.
