McNeilly honored by USTFCCCA as Outstanding Performer at NCAA Indoors

NEW ORLEANS - The US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the Outstanding Performers at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships and two-time national champion Serena McNeilly was honored after winning a pair of national titles this past weekend.

Each year, the USTFCCCA honors the Outstanding Performers of the Championships at both the NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Winners are determined using a formula that adds together team points scored, plus meet records (five additional points), Division III seasonal bests (three additional points) and facility records (one point). Relay points, if applicable, are split equally among the four team members.

At this year's NCAA Indoor Finals, McNeilly competed in four events. On the first day of competition she took first place in a grueling pentathlon that saw her break her own school record in the high jump in the process for her first national championship of the weekend. Her 3,782 total points shattered her previous school record in the pentathlon by over 250 points She also came away with a fourth place finish in the long jump later that day.

Moving onto Saturday's events, McNeilly equaled her school record mark of 5-10.5 (1.79m) in the high jump en route to winning her second national championship of the weekend. Her final event of the meet was the triple jump and she set yet another school record as she posted a mark of 40-4.25 (12.30m) to earn a national runner-up finish.
