ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released its preseason polls for outdoor track & field earlier today and defending league champion Centre was picked to finish second by the league's coaches.

Centre received 51 points to sit in second place in the poll, with three out of the eight first place votes. Trinity received the rest of the first place votes and is three points ahead of the Colonels. The two teams battled fiercely for the 2026 indoor title, with Trinity getting the win by half a point.
