Memphis, TN - Centre Men's Tennis traveled to Rhodes for an Easter Sunday matchup. The Colonels fell behind early and tried to rally, but it was not enough as the Lynx held on for a 4-3 win.
Ben Rueff and
Jack Gessner were the lone doubles pair that picked up a win. The duo won for the 2nd straight day in #2 doubles, 6-3, following the same result at Millsaps on Saturday.
Rhodes won in #1 and #2 singles to take a 3-0 overall lead.
Dylan Dethridge got Centre on the board in #3 singles as he won his match, 6-4, 6-4.
Isaac Flanery followed with a 3-set win in #4 singles as he took the third, 6-4.
Chase Turley won his #6 singles match, 10-5, in the 3rd, but Rhodes won in #5 singles to clinch the overall win.
Centre next gets set for a trip to Atlanta to battle Oglethorpe as both teams look to lock in a spot in the SAA Tournament. The action starts on Saturday at 11:00am.
