Last Time Out
Austin 20, Centre 13 (9.21.19)
- Centre dropped its conference opener last Saturday, falling by a 20-13 score at Austin. It was just the third regular season loss for the Colonels in the past three seasons.
- The Colonel offense came away with point on just two of their five red zone trips, and their normally strong pass attack accounted for just 101 yards.
Patric Edwards proved to be a bright spot for the Colonels, rushing for a career-high 198 yards on 26 carries.
- Defensively,
Andre Evans recorded nine tackles including a sack.
Patric on the Run
- Edwards ranks second in the SAA and 13th in the nation with 372 rushing yards this season, averaging a lofty 6.76 yards per carry.
Conference Champs
- The Colonels earned a SAA Co-Championship last season, finishing 7-1 in the league to match Berry atop the standings.
- Last year's conference title was the program's 17th overall and two since joining the Southern Athletic Association.
Scouting the Tigers
- Trinity is 1-2 overall, but has faced one of the toughest schedules in the country thus far, with narrow losses against No. 9 Hardin Simmons (16-10) and No. 13 Berry (14-10) following a season-opening victory over McMurry (41-10).
Next Week
- Next week, the Colonels head to Jackson, Miss., to face Millsaps for a 1 p.m. ET kick.
- The Colonels hold a slight 16-13 edge over the Majors in the all-time series, including a massive 49-13 victory a season ago in Danville.
- Millsaps has not won a game over Centre since a 28-27 overtime victory in 2013.
