DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre men's tennis came just short in Sunday's Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest versus Berry in a 4-3 loss for the Colonels.
Centre dropped to 6-10 overall and 2-3 in the SAA with the loss, and Berry advanced to 7-10 on the season and 3-3 in league action.
The Gold & White squad earned each of the team's points in the singles portion of the meet.
Isaac Flanery won 6-3, 6-0 over Leo Nedkov in the no. 3 match, which was his second-straight win.
Dylan Dethridge's win streak now sits at six thanks to a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Aiden Benoualid in the fourth-seeded match.
Jett Anderson earned his win in the no. 5 match with a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 come from behind scoreline over Bohdan Higley.
Ben Rueff fell in the top match 6-0, 6-0 to Noah Koch.
Ty Bush was dropped 6-3, 6-3 to Jake Chapman in the no. 2 match.
Anderson Gosnell fell 6-3, 6-0 in the no. 6 contest to Jace Goode.
One doubles contest was a winner for Centre. Bush and Dethridge improved to a perfect 3-0 together with a 6-4 result over Nedkov and Koch.
Rueff and Flanery fell 6-3 to Chapman and Benoualid in the no. 2 match, while
Jasper Gazzo and Anderson fell 7-6 to Goode and Higley in the third-seeded match.
