COLUMBUS, Ga. - Centre softball was eliminated from the Southern Athletic Association Tournament this morning as they fell to the no. 4 seed Hendrix Warriors by a score of 6-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The opening salvo came from the Warriors in the second inning as they scored the first run of game after two walks and an error. They tacked on a two-run single to take a 3-0 lead.
- Hendrix tacked on three more runs in the fourth on three hits, an error and a sacrifice fly to take a 6-0 advantage.
- In the seventh, the Colonels loaded the bases after a leadoff walk from
Emily Lammers and singles by
Cheney Floyd and
Madison Mullender. An RBI groundout scored by
Aleiah Branin scored pinch runner
Sarah Bradley, but that was the end of the rally.
