BEXLEY, Ohio – The Centre volleyball team improved to 5-2 on the year after winning their third straight, completing a doubleheader sweep of Hanover and Capital and winning both matches in straight sets.
Game 1: Centre 3, Hanover 0
- The opening set was a wild and close one with multiple momentum swings and 11 lead changes. With the score tied at 23-23,
Delia Long pushed the set to the brink with a kill and
Rylee Barnes sent it home with an ace to give Centre a 25-23 winner.
- In the second set, both teams kept it close with Centre holding a small lead throughout. Hanover could never get over the hump as Centre held onto the lead and withstood a late charge to win 25-21.
- Centre trailed 18-17 in the third set before rallying for six straight points, including two via
Lauren Uffman aces. After that rally the Panthers were never the same as the Colonels pulled away to a 25-19 win.
Game 2: Centre 3, Capital 0
- The Colonels gradually pulled away in the opening set about midway through, eventually cruising to a 25-13 victory with another ace from Barnes providing the clinching point.
- Centre scored the first five points of the second set and later used a 10-1 run to put it away, winning by a score of 25-15 to push the match to the brink.
- In the third set, Centre again broke it open near the midway point with a 5-0 run that included two more aces from Barnes.
Ella Cox came off the bench for the clinching kill as Centre completed the sweep with a 25-17 victory.

Syd Bietz was the only Colonel with double digit kills against Hanover, leading all players with 13, and then equaled that amount against Capital for another game high.

Madi Winfield posted a game high 36 assists against the Panthers and 32 against the Comets.

Emersyn Pannell led everybody with 16 digs in game 1, with Winfield and Barnes also finishing in double figures. Pannell's ten digs in game 2 were a team high.
- Centre hit .318 as a team against Capital, including .440 in the third set.
