GREENWOOD, Ind. - College Sports Communicators released its Academic All-America squads for the 2025 football season and Centre senior Blake Busson was named a Second Team Academic All-American.

Busson enjoyed a career year as a senior for the Colonels, earning All-SAA First Team honors as the top wide receiver in a stacked Southern Athletic Association. Accounting for 44 percent of Centre's total receiving yardage on the year, Busson led the SAA with 1,074 receiving yards, becoming Centre's first 1,000-yard receiver since Jaylon Hibbs in 2018. Busson had six games of at least 100 yards and surpassed the program's career receiving yards record in Centre's win over Sewanee on Nov. 8.

In the classroom, Busson carried a 3.64 grade point average at the time of nomination in early December. Majoring in both business and economics and finance, Busson was a four-time member of the SAA Fall Academic Honor Roll.
