DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre Men's Soccer fell on Friday night at Amend Field to Maryville by a 3-0 final result to remain winless in league play.
Maryville began its pressure on the Centre back line from the start.
Declan Miller made the first of his 3 saves of the night in the 4th minute of action. The Scots would take 3 more shot attempts before
Kai Forsythe had Centre's first in the 14th minute. A rare chance for the Colonels on the night was easily stopped to keep the game scoreless.
Ryan O'Hara had a go in the 22nd minute but was also turned aside. The Scots would take back over and would break through with a goal in the 36th minute to take the lead. The lead would double to 2 just 96 seconds later and carry to the halftime break.
Chances for both sides were limited early in the 2nd half. Neither squad had a shot on goal in the first 19 minutes of play. Maryville changed that with a third tally in the 65th minute to further seal a victory. The Colonels did not muster a shot attempt in the half until the 83rd minute as the team's offensive drought continued after another shutout defeat.
The Colonels will honor seniors
Nick Blair,
Dominic Do, and
Will Sweet ahead of Sunday's matchup with Sewanee starting at 1:30pm. It also marks the final SAA home game of the season.
