DANVILLE, Ky. - For the second time in eight days, the Centre men's basketball team engaged in a fast-paced, high scoring battle against the Trinity Tigers. This matchup went to the road team, who rode blazing shooting to a 103-88 win.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Trinity opened the scoring on their first possession, but the Colonels answered with consecutive three-pointers from
Nolan Wahl and
Landen Hamilton to take the early lead.
- The Tigers reeled off the next 15 points to go up by double figures. The rest of the first half was an uphill battle for Centre, who traded baskets with Trinity for several minutes before falling behind by as many as 18 points with three minutes until halftime.
- The final three minutes of the half belonged to the Colonels as Wahl and
Drake Ingram combined for three triples to help shave 11 points off the deficit, making it a 53-46 Trinity lead at the half.
- Centre started well at the beginning of the second half as they outscored Trinity 8-2 in the early minutes, with a Hamilton three cutting the margin to 56-53.
- Trinity had an answer for every Centre flurry as they shot even better in the second half to go back up by double digits and maintain their lead. Just like they did in last week's game, the Tigers shot extremely well from the free throw line, shooting 80 percent in the second half and 87 percent from the game to effectively put the game away.

Kalib Thomas led four Centre players in double figures with a game high 20 points, with Hamilton, Wahl and Ingram all finishing in double figures as well.
- Wahl recorded his second straight double-double this week, pulling down a game high 13 rebounds to go along with 15 points.
- Centre's 28 assists on 35 made shots were a season high total, led by Thomas with seven.
