Danville, KY - After day 2 of the 2026 SAA Swimming & Diving Championships, Centre sits in 2nd place in both the men's & women's standings.
Caroline Lee set the Centre highlight of the night as she won the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle final. In doing so, she set a new meet and school record with a time of 23.31 seconds, crossing the nationals invite time from 2025 and the D3-B standard to give her a viable shot at reaching nationals in March. She won the race by over three-tenths of a second and gave the team 20 valuable points towards the overall count.
Erin Dannemiller,
Riley Taylor, and
Sara Jean Postle finished 2nd-4th on the 1-meter boards. Dannemiller grabbed silver with a score of 371.35. Taylor took bronze with 352.00 points and Postle finished 4th with 316.60 points in the final. The combined effort added 48 team points to the tally.
Back at swim,
Katelynn Stanczyk placed 6th in the 500 free with a time of 5:17.30. Libby Taylor was right behind in 7th at 5:17.97.
Sarah Feild finished 2nd in the B final with a time of 5:15.66.
Natalie Cox was the only Colonel to reach the A final in the 200 IM. She finished 5th in a time of 2:11.51.
Cate Coartney and
Avery Gabbard tied for 2nd in the B final with times of 2:12.19.
Ava Gates was next in 2:13.59. Centre Women took the silver in the 200 Free relay to close the night. The quartet of

Caroline Short, and
Caroline Lee finished in a time of 1:36.68.
In men's swim,
Brady Miller grabbed the silver medal in the 500 free with a time of 4:30.94 to surpass the D3-B Standard.
Gavin Schoeling took home the bronze in the 200 IM with a time of 1:52.62, just 1.5 seconds off the win.
Tiernan Moore swam 7th in the final.
Jake Holmes won the 200 IM B final with a time of 1:53.56.
Xavier Moore reached the A final in the 50 free, finishing 6th in a time of 21.06 seconds, just 0.36 seconds off the win.
Centre's 200 Freestyle relay team finished 5th in the A final. The group of

Dustin Niebauer, and
Xavier Moore swam a time of 1:24.43 to add 28 points to the overall count.
