Danville, KY - Sophomore
Tiernan Moore put on a show on the third day of the 2026 SAA Swimming & Diving Championships as both Centre teams held in 2nd place overall.
Moore started the meet as the school record holder in the men's 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.49 seconds. That number went out the window in prelims as Moore set a new mark with a time of 53.74 seconds, which was 1.25 seconds faster than anyone else in the preliminary session. That number lasted mere hours as in the final, Moore again blasted the field and the record by winning in a time of 53.08 seconds. The mark was over 2 seconds faster than the D3-B standard and 1.39 seconds faster than the 2025 D3 invite time. He continued the momentum in the night's final race, swimming second in the 400 medley relay. Joined by

Jack Liau, and
Gavin Schoeling, the foursome obliterated the Centre record with a time of 3:18.54. The mark was 4.89 seconds faster than the old time set a year ago, which
Tiernan Moore was on.
Garrett George also took home gold in a come-from-behind win in the men's 3-meter diving final. George won the event over
Justin Toth with a final score of 514.20 points. Toth missed on 1 of his final dives and had to settle for silver with 500.30 points.
Rowan Fitzsimmons took the bronze, with
Brandon Anderson in 4th,
Garrett Urash 6th and
Ben Reynolds 8th.
In women's action,
Natalie Cox took silver in the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.98.
Ava Gates was 4th.
Caroline Lee brought home bronze in the 100 back with a time of 57.32 seconds.Â
Emma Daman placed 5th in the 100 butterfly A final with a time of 59.23 seconds. The quartet of
Avery Gabbard,
Natalie Cox,
Caroline Short, and
Caroline Lee took bronze in the 400 medley relay with a run of 3:57.05.
