Danville, KY - Centre Women's Tennis took on future-SAA opponent, Maryville, on Saturday at Seabury Family Tennis Center to start the spring season. The Colonels faced little resistance from the Scots en route to a 7-0 sweep of the day.

Williams went on to top singles action and again won convincingly, 6-4, 6-2. Centre clinched the doubles team point in second singles thanks to a 6-2 win by Natalie Black and Kennedy Herring. For good measure, the Colonels claimed the 3rd doubles match as the duo of Emily Immordino and Sophie Maddux handled business with a 7-5 win.

The Colonels continued the roll in singles, starting with Carrie Foster in #2 singles, as she cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win. Sara Dunn kept things going in third singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Shelby Franklin was equally up to the task in #4 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph. Karenna Thurman kept the shutout going with a 6-4, 6-0 win in #5 singles. The 7th and final point went to Centre thanks to a 6-0, 6-4 win by Kayla Harger in #7 singles.

The Colonels will look to keep the momentum going on Sunday as Sewanee comes to town for an early-season SAA matchup. The action at Seabury is scheduled to start bright and early at 9:00am.
