Atlanta, GA - Centre Women's Tennis traveled south on Saturday for a matchup against winless Oglethorpe. The Colonels handled business in dominating fashion by crushing the Stormy Petrels, 7-0.
Doubles proved little resistance to start the day.
Grace Williams and
Carlie Mitchell started with a 6-0 romp in #2 doubles.
Natalie Black and
Kennedy Herring liked the idea so much that they followed suit in #1 doubles.
Lucy Mitchell and
Emily Immordino were in 3rd doubles for the day and got in the 6-0 fun as well.
Singles competition all went the way of Centre.
Sara Dunn started the roll with a 6-0, 6-0 win in #6 singles.
Natalie Black was right there with the same result in #5.
Kennedy Herring was next in #2 singles as she rolled, 6-1, 6-0.
Carrie Foster rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win in 3rd singles.
Grace Williams was next in the top spot as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Shelby Franklin rounded out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 win in 4th singles.
The Colonels will look to lock up a spot in the SAA Tournament on Sunday when they travel to Berry in the regular season finale. Action from Mount Berry starts at 10:00am.
