Danville, KY - Centre Men's Tennis started the spring with a 7-0 crushing of Maryville on Saturday. The Colonels looked for more of the same on Sunday and got it thanks to a commanding 6-1 win over Transylvania.
Ty Bush and
Dylan Dethridge went off in #1 doubles and took home a 6-4 win.
Isaac Flanery and
Chase Turley clinched the team point with a 6-2 win in second doubles.
Luke English and
Tejas Ahuja left no doubt as they won 3rd singles by the same 6-2 result.
The only hiccup of the day came in #1 singles, where Dethridge fell in straight sets, 3-6, 4-6.
Ty Bush swept his day thanks to a 6-3, 6-3 win in second singles.
Ben Rueff needed extra time in his opening singles set but won it, 7-6. He rode the momentum to an easy 6-1 win in set 2.
Isaac Flanery capped off a brilliant weekend with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in 4th singles.
Chase Turley also continued his run of excellence, 6-0, 6-2 in #5 singles. Emilio Ventura Ramirez also won again in #6 singles, 6-4, 6-2.
Centre will go for its 3rd straight win on Friday when Kenyon College comes to Danville. The action starts at 5:00pm.
