ATLANTA - Earlier today the Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for men's basketball and Centre sophomore Drake Ingram has been named Player of the Week for games played through Feb. 15.

It is the first weekly honor for any Centre player this season and the first in the career of Ingram, who had the week of his life as he recorded a pair of game highs to help Centre pull off two road wins and extend their winning streak to four.

On Friday at Millsaps, Ingram led all players with 27 points, at one point scoring ten in a row for Centre in the second half as the Colonels defeated the Majors 80-73.

Two days later against Rhodes, Ingram matched his career high with 31 points, nailing clutch shot after clutch shot and icing the game with three free throws in the last 23 seconds to lift Centre to a 94-90 overtime win in Memphis.

Centre men's basketball will wrap up the regular season on Saturday as the Colonels host Sewanee on Senior Day.
