Danville, KY – The Colonels take the win against Baldwin Wallace 14-11
Opening quarter,
Ben Hubbs opened the scoring with two goals, the second assisted by
Sims Anderson, setting the tone for the quarter.
Graysen Jolly and
Ryan Hall added to the score to extend Centre's lead.
Baldwin Wallace got on the board with a goal from Reichen Geiselhart, assisted by Paxton Allison. He had several offensive chances, including shots from Bennet Trout, Noah Dodgion, and Justin Diniz. Still, Centre's Goalie helped to keep the Yellow Jackets at bay with timely saves to preserve the lead.
In the second quarter, Centre continued to assert control, with Benn Hubbs,
Ryan Black, and
Nick Witcher all finding the back of the net, with
Graysen Jolly contributing multiple assists to set up goals in transition.
Baldwin Wallace fought back with goals from Justin Diniz, Nathan Prosowski, and Bennet Trout, featuring improved ball movement and offensive pressure.
By halftime, Centre's efficient scoring and disciplined has built a comfortable four-goal lead.
Centre came out of the half with offensive momentum with four goals by
Holden Techet,
Ryan Hall,
Ben Hubbs, and
Graysen Jolly to push the score 12-8.
The Yellow Jackets were able to make a comeback with goals from Noah Dodgion, Jake Koonmen, and 2 goals from Ian Shealy, improving on offense and ball movement from Bennet Trout and Eli Armstrong.
In the fourth quarter, Baldwin mounted a late push, scoring four goals from Koonmen, Geiselhart, and Noah Dodgion on a man-up opportunity, cutting the deficit to 14-11.
Despite the Yellow Jackets' late surge, Centre secured the win with balanced offense and strong defensive play.
