Men's Tennis falls at #1 Denison

Granville, OH - Centre Men's Tennis continued its grueling schedule with a trek to Ohio to take on #1 Denison on Saturday. The Colonels fought hard but the Big Red were too much in a 7-0 win.

Playing without Dylan Dethridge on the day, Centre was forced to switch up its doubles teams. Ben Rueff and Jack Gessner were elevated to the #1 spot and put up a strong fight but ultimately fell, 6-7. Ty Bush and Tejas Ahuja teamed up in second doubles but were beaten, 1-6. Isaac Flanery and Anderson Gosnell also fell, 1-6, in third singles to give Denison the doubles team point.

In singles action, Ben Rueff won the first set of his #2 singles match, 6-3, but could not sustain the momentum as he dropped the final 2 sets, 1-6, 2-6. Ty Bush was in the #1 singles spot and went down, 1-6, 2-6. Denison went on to sweep the final 4 singles matches in straight sets for the overall 7-0 win.

The Colonels return home on Wednesday to battle Asbury starting at 5:00pm.
