Danville, KY - Centre Men's Tennis started its final home weekend of the season with a difficult matchup as Trinity came to Danville. The Tigers showed their strength in a 7-0 win over the Colonels.
Jack Gessner and
Ben Rueff picked up a win in #2 doubles, but Trinity handled the #1 and #3 spots to clinch the team point.
In #1 singles,
Ty Bush pushed his opponent throughout the match. Bush lost the opening set 6-7 (4-7) and came up just short in set 2, 5-7.
Tejas Ahuja and
Chase Turley each pushed their opponents to third set tiebreaks, but both ultimately fell in #5 and #6 singles, respectively.
The Colonels now turn their focus to Senior Day/Alumni Day on Sunday when Southwestern comes to town. The action gets going at 10:00am on the Centre Tennis Courts.
