Danville, KY - Centre Men's Tennis was the latest Colonel team to welcome the University of Olivet to Danville. The Colonels were also the latest to handle business in a 6-1 rout for the team's 4th win of the year.
The duo of
Chase Turley and
Isaac Flanery were sent to the top doubles spot on the day and quickly showed the move to be wise as they won their match, 6-0.
Jack Gessner and
William Howell linked up in #2 doubles and rolled to a 6-3 win, as did
Luke English and
Pol Campama in 3rd singles to give the Colonels the team point.
The dominance continued into the singles portion of the day.
Isaac Flanery went off in pole position and cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 win.
Jack Gessner was right behind in 2nd singles and handled business, 6-0, 6-0.
Chase Turley then followed with a comfortable 6-1, 6-1 win to clinch the overall win on the day for the Colonels.
William Howell added to the total via a 6-2, 6-1 win in 4th singles.
Pol Campama did the same in 6th singles, 6-1, 6-2. The only hiccup was in 4th singles, where
Luke English fell in 3 sets.
The Colonels will ratchet up the competition next Saturday via a trip to Louisville against Bellarmine University starting at 10:00am.
