Phoenix, AZ - Centre Women's Golf traveled to compete in the West Brook Invitational this weekend. The Colonels finished 9th after day 2 of the two-day event.
The Colonels seemed to struggle on the course as the Final round featured multiple falls in scores rather than improvements.
Janie Morgan was one of the golfers who was able to show improvement as she ended with a score of 75, a two-stroke improvement from her round score of 77. She placed 20th on the player leader board. Ceci Coocia was the other golfer who had some improvement, ending the day with a score of 83, which is an 8-stroke improvement from her score of 91 in the first round.
Grace Vernon and
Emerson Vaughn were solid but struggled to maintain yesterday's pace as there was a feature of bogeys on the back nine, ending with a final score of 83, one stroke more than their round one score of 82.
The final round was a battle for
Ellie Roof. She came into today off a score of 82 on round one, but the putts weren't hitting the marks, as she finished with a score of 91, placing 47th on the player leader board.
Colonels have a little break before they travel to the Max and Susan Stith Invite on March 30th - 31st.
