Four Colonels headed to Indoor Nationals

3/9/2026 12:16:00 PM

Danville, KY - With the qualification window now closed, Centre Indoor Track & Field will send four athletes to compete in the 2026 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships.

On the men's side, All-American Cree Ross is currently tied for 16th in the nation in the triple jump, with his seasonal best mark of 48-2.5 (14.69m) occurring on Feb. 13 at the Centre Indoor Invite and Multis. Ross posted a top eight national finish in this event at last year's NCAA Finals.

Teammate Beau Brown will be making his NCAA Championship debut for the Centre men in the 200m. In the first meet of the season all the way back in early December, Brown hit a personal best mark of 21.43 and that kept him ranked highly enough all season long to qualify for the national championships.

On the women's side, All-Americans Chloe Hein and Serena McNeilly each qualified for four events.

Hein ranks 13th nationally in the 60m with a seasonal best mark of 7.58 set at the SAA Championships. Her personal best time of 24.30 also happened at the SAA Championships and currently is tied for sixth in the nation. In the triple jump, Hein's mark of 38-11.5 - yet another personal best set at the SAA Championships - is ranked sixth in the country. And she is the NCAA leader in the long jump after posting the best mark in the history of Division III women's track & field (21-2.5) last week.

McNeilly's top ranked event is the high jump, where she is ranked third nationally after clearing 5-10 at the SAA Championships. In the triple jump, McNeilly's personal best mark of 39-6.5 happened at the Centre Indoor Opener in December and is ranked fifth in the nation. McNeilly qualified seventh in the nation after breaking the school record with 3560 points at Vanderbilt in January. In the long jump, McNeilly hit a personal best mark of 19-0.75 at the SAA Championships, good for 11th in the nation.
