SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Today marked the first round of the final tournament of the fall season for the Centre women's golf team. On a day where every team struggled against the challenging course, the Colonels are in third place out of seven teams.

The Colonels posted a combined team score of 347 to sit four shots back of Otterbein in second place. Centre currently sits ten shots in front of John Carroll.

Individually, the low scorer of the day for Centre was Ceci Coccia, who posted a score of 83 thanks to a pair of birdies on the par 5 12th and the par 3 16th.

Nithya Nunna rebounded from a rough front nine to shoot just one over par on the back for a score of 87, shooting birdie on the par 4 11th and 15th.

Janie Morgan had a similar round, improving by eight shots from the front nine to the back and recording a birdie on the 15th to finish with a score of 88.

Yelena Williams finished with a score of 89 with birdies on a pair of par 5s at the fifth and 17th holes. Grace Vernon rounded out the scoring totals from Monday for Centre with a round of 91.
