DANVILLE, Ky. - The Centre College women's tennis team continued their recent dominant streak with a 5-2 victory over Asbury extending their win streak to four matches.
The Gold and White sit at 5-1 on the season and have not lost a match since mid-February.
The back four seeds for the Colonels won singles action.
Kennedy Herring won her first match as the no. 3 seed of the season with a 6-4, 6-2 tally over Martina Paillet.
Natalie Black moved to 4-0 in solo play thanks to a 1-6, 6-4, 10-7 result versus Megan Moore.
Carrie Foster won her fourth-straight match in the fifth-seeded match, a seed she is a perfect 5-0 in, with an impressive 6-2, 6-2 showing over Kourtney Kawata.
Sara Dunn kept her own streak alive as the freshman moved to 5-0 with a 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 win in the no. 6 contest versus Malory Watkins.
Grace Williams fell 6-2, 6-3 to top seed Katherine Nova, while
Carlie Mitchell lost a close 7-5, 1-6, 3-10 contest as the second seed.
The doubles point went to Centre with a two out of three showing. Black and Herring took a 6-4 win over Nova and Zegarra in the top spot. The other win came for Mitchell and Williams as they earned a 6-1 triumph over Kawata and Moore in the no. 2 match. That pair is a perfect 4-0 in that spot in the lineup.

Kayla Harger were in the third-seeded match and fell to Watkins and Paillet by a tally of 6-1.

Another Bluegrass State foe awaits the Colonels. Centre hosts the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
