NEW CONCORD, Ohio.- On Saturday morning, the Centre women's lacrosse team traveled north to take on the Muskies. After a convincing 15-9 win, the Colonels stretched their win streak to four and improved to a 4-2 record.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels opened the scoring,
Haley Rice finding the back of the net with the assist from
Audrey Haines. The Muskies netted a pair successively to take their only lead of the contest. Just after,
Sophia Richardson opened a 4-0 run for the Colonels, netting a free-position during a woman-up play. Rice scored the next, followed by a point from
Ellie Macdonald. Haines closed the run, and the quarter, with the assist from
Addie Lewis. Entering the second period, the score read Centre five, Muskingum two.
- Centre's run continued into the next period, opening with two unanswered goals within a minute of each other. Lewis placed the first shot, a woman-up goal that was quickly followed by Rice's. The Muskies closed the half with a 2-1 scoring run, the Colonels' point coming from Rice on the arc. Entering halftime, Centre led 8-4.

Gracie Garner opened the half but the Muskies quickly caught momentum, netting three unbroken goals to cut the deficit to two. The Colonels answered in a big way, opening a 4-0 tear with goals from Haines, Rice, and Macdonald. Entering the final frame, the Colonels held a six-point advantage.
- The fourth quarter was evenly matched, each team scoring two goals. Rice tallied both Colonels' points and at the end of the game, Centre came out with a 15-9 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Rice led game in goals with seven. The senior added one ground ball, three caused turnovers, and went 1-1 at the free position.

Mary Haley led the Colonels in ground balls with three. In the crease, the senior stuffed seven Muskies' shots.
- Centre favored in shots 28-21, ground balls 20-19, draw controls 16-11, and went 11-17 in clears.
