DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre women's tennis saw a winning streak come to an end as they fell to Berry 6-1 in Sunday's Southern Athletic Association (SAA) match.
The Colonels fell to 9-7 on the season and 3-2 in the SAA, while the Vikings improved to 13-7 overall and 4-2 in the SAA.
Carrie Foster scored the lone point for the Gold & White. The freshman won 7-6, 2-6, 10-6 over Olivia Walton in the no. 4 singles match. Foster has won five-straight matches.
Sara Dunn went to a third set in her 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 loss to Sakura Manning in the no. 6 contest.
Kennedy Herring also went to a third set as she fell 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to Sara Mejia in the second-seeded match.
A tiebreaker was needed to determine the no. 3 match.
Natalie Black fell 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) to Sophie Gibbs.
Grace Williams fell 6-4, 6-2 to Lauren Masteller in the highest-ranked match and
Kayla Harger was setback 6-3, 6-3 to Lacey Craig in the no. 5 contest.
Each of the duos for Centre fell on Sunday. Black and Herring lost in the no. 1 contest 7-5 to Mejia and Masteller. Williams and
Skylar Keesee were dropped 6-1 in the second match by Gibbs and Walton. Harger and Foster saw a 6-4 setback in the no. 3 match to Craig and Manning.

Just one match is left in the regular season for the Colonels. That match is at Sewanee on Saturday, April 19 and has a scheduled 9 a.m. first serve.
