nd. After his first place finish out of a field 65 golfers, Centre's
Harrison Akers was deemed the conference's Golfer of the Week.
Akers led the Rhodes Spring Classic through all three rounds, finishing his play as the only athlete under par. In day one, the Colonel finished round one a stroke over and shot two under in round two to finish even with a day one score of 143 (73-70). After his 36-holes, Akers ranked first overall for total birdies with a grand total of seven. He also placed second on both the par 4 and par 5 individual leaderboard. In his final round, the junior recorded 16 pars, a birdie, and one bogey, allowing for an undisputed first place finish with a score of 215 (73-70-72). At the end of his play, the junior was the best performer on par 4 holes, averaging 4.03 a round.
