DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer coach
Jeb Burch '94 announced Wednesday that
Teddy Kolesnikov has been added as the new assistant coach for the Colonels.
Kolesnikov comes to Centre following a successful stint as an assistant coach at DePauw University. In Indiana he was part of the coaching staff for a team that won the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship and made an appearance in the 2024 NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Tournament.
He was responsible for developing and implementing training sessions for the Tigers focused on technical and tactical improvement as well as managing scouting reports and analysis to prepare for conference matches.
Prior to his time at DePauw, he was the head junior varsity coach and an assistant varsity coach at Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was also a club coach for Alliance Cincinnati SC for the organization's U12 and U13 Boys teams.
Kolesnikov competed at the college level in soccer at Lake Forest College. He was team captain his senior year and led the team to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in five seasons. He also earned Second-Team All-Midwest Conference & CSC Academic All-District honors. Kolesnikov also played at the pre-professional level for two USL2 teams and two OVPL squads.
