COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Centre softball team began play at the Southern Athletic Association Tournament, where they took on the no. 3 seed Rhodes Lynx. The Colonels fell 10-0 in the tournament opener.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Lynx got off to a hot start as they scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the first.
- After a two-out error by Centre resulted in a Rhodes run in the bottom of the third, the Colonels continued to make miscues in the fourth as three more Centre errors led to four runs for the Lynx.
- The Colonels went down in order in the fifth for the run rule finish.

- Centre's lone hit of the game came in the top of the second via a leadoff single from
Emily Lammers.

The Colonels will play the loser of the matchup between Berry and Hendrix in an elimination game on Friday.
