WHITEWATER, Wisc. - The final round of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Invite has wrapped up and the Centre women's golf team posted an eighth place finish.
The Colonels posted a two-day score of 667 to land in eighth place in a log jam in the middle of the leaderboard. Centre finished one shot back of Carthage, two back of Adrian and seven back of Dubuque.
Individually, senior
Janie Morgan finished with the lowest score by a Centre player on either day of the tournament as she fired a round of 77, including a string of nine consecutive pars on the front, to land in ninth place overall with a two-day score of 157.
Rookie
Ceci Coccia had birdies on two of her first three holes of the day today, landing in 20th place overall with a 36-hole score of 163 after posting a score of 84 on Monday.
Grace Vernon and
Yelena Williams posted two-day scores of 170 for the Colonels, while
Nithya Nunna finished with a tournament score of 171. Nunna posted the lowest score of the three on Monday, finishing with a round of 86 while Vernon and Williams posted respective scores of 88 and 91
