ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for week 7 of the football season and Centre quarterback Mason Trimble has been named Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Oct. 18.

Trimble had a career performance in Centre's 63-20 Homecoming victory against Rhodes on Saturday. In just one half of play, the freshman quarterback completed 15 of 19 passes for a career high 291 yards and seven touchdowns.

Trimble is the first Centre quarterback to throw for seven touchdowns in a game since Devin Hayes accomplished it in the 2016 season, also against Rhodes.

Centre football will be back in action on Oct. 24 with a home contest against Sewanee.
