ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for week 8 of the football season and after his record-setting performance, Centre quarterback
Mason Trimble has won his second straight Offensive Player of the Week award.
For the second consecutive week, Trimble put his name in the Centre football record book. Against Sewanee on Saturday, Trimble completed 25 of 33 passes for a season high 465 yards and seven touchdowns.
It is the second straight game that the freshman quarterback has thrown for seven touchdowns in a game, once again tying the program record set by all-time passing leader Devin Hayes back in 2016.
Centre football will hit the road this weekend to face Berry on Oct. 31.
