Freshman Brinley Muller has been named the Southern Athletic Association Softball Athlete of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday.

In Centre's opening day wins over Kenyon, the Colonel shortstop batted .714 (5-7) and reached base in 7 of 9 plate appearances. In the 12-11 comeback win to start the day, Muller scored 3 runs and stole 3 bases without being caught. Defensively, she also tallied 3 putouts.

In the 12-3 win in game 2, Muller went 2-for-3 at the plate, with 1 RBI, a run scored and a walk, all while batting second in both games of her collegiate debut.

Muller and the Colonels are back in action on Saturday starting at 1:00pm against Asbury, followed by a 3:00pm game against Olivet, all out at the Centre Softball Field.
