Orlando, FL - Centre Women's Tennis started its week in Florida with a late-addition to the schedule as the Colonels took on Hamilton College on Saturday. Centre came up on the short end in a 6-1 defeat.
In doubles action, the #1 team of
Natalie Black and
Kennedy Herring were beaten, 1-6.
Grace Williams and
Carlie Mitchell teamed up in second doubles but were also beaten, 4-6. Centre did win the third doubles match as
Olivia Watson and
Shelby Franklin cruised to a 6-2 win, but Hamilton took the team point.
In singles,
Grace Williams was the only Colonel to come out on top. The senior went off in #1 action and took down her opponent, 6-1, 7-5. The remaining singles matches were all won by Hamilton in straight sets.
Centre continues its stay in Orlando on Sunday with a noon matchup against Luther College.
